Frequently Asked Questions
Drink Service / Mobile Bars
You can explore our full selection of drinks right on our website! Head over to our Cocktail Menu to view all of our popular mixes, including our signature vodka, rum, gin, tequila, and sparkling options, as well as a fantastic range of alcohol-free mocktails.
Once you’ve had a look, just let our team know which drinks you’d like to feature at your event!
It depends on the specific package you choose! Typically, our standard packages allow you to select 3 to 5 different cocktails and 2 mocktails (alcohol-free options) to feature on your menu.
For larger events or special requirements, we can accommodate up to 6 different cocktails upon request. If you have a specific menu size in mind, just let our team know when booking, and we will find the perfect package for you!
Of course! We love getting creative and tailoring the menu to your taste.
If there is a specific cocktail you would like that isn’t listed on our website, just let our team know. We will gladly check if we can accommodate it—which is usually no problem at all, provided you let us know before finalizing your booking. This gives us plenty of time to source the necessary supplies.
Please note: If your custom drink requires rare, specialist, or premium ingredients that we do not normally carry in our inventory, a small additional charge may apply to cover the sourcing costs.
To ensure your event runs smoothly and stress-free, we always recommend booking a slightly larger package or opting for our bottomless drinks option if you are worried about running short. Hosting an event is busy enough without having to worry about drink counts on the night!
However, if you do need to add more drinks during the event, we can accommodate last-minute purchases under the following conditions:
Private Events: Extra drinks can be purchased on the night, but require upfront payment before they are served.
Corporate Events: Extra drinks require pre-approval from your designated corporate event organizer or authorized manager on-site.
To avoid the stress of making logistics decisions or trying to contact our office while you are busy entertaining your guests, choosing a larger prepaid package from the start is always your safest and most cost-effective bet.
Absolutely. We offer a range of branding options for our bars, making them perfect for corporate events, brand activations, exhibitions, product launches, and promotional events.
Depending on the bar and package selected, branding for the front of the bar typically starts from £90 + VAT, although the final cost may vary depending on the size of the bar and the complexity of the design.
If you are interested in branding, please get in touch with our team before booking. The easiest way to get started is by sending us your logo, artwork, or design concept so we can discuss the available options and provide an accurate quote.
Yes, absolutely. We can provide cocktails and mocktails only, whilst you supply your own beer, wine, prosecco, or other beverages.
Please note that additional glassware, ice, staffing, or equipment may be required depending on your requirements, and additional charges may apply. We recommend discussing this with our team before booking so that we can assess your event and confirm exactly what is needed.
In some cases, we may already have sufficient stock and equipment available and no additional charges will apply. Therefore, please contact our team in advance so we can provide accurate guidance and avoid any surprises on the day.
No, any extension to the agreed service time must be approved by Spin & Shake in advance. Our bartenders are not permitted to extend their hours or accept additional payment directly from clients without prior authorisation from our office.
If you think you may need the team to stay longer, please discuss this with us before your event so we can confirm availability, staffing, and any additional charges.
We kindly ask clients not to make private arrangements directly with bartenders. Any service agreed outside of Spin & Shake will not be covered by our booking terms, insurance, or company responsibility.
In most cases, no. Our bars, equipment, and stock are removed at the end of the agreed service period unless overnight collection has been arranged in advance.
Overnight hire or next-day collection may be available at certain venues, but this must be discussed and agreed before booking and is subject to availability. Additional charges will apply.
If you’re concerned about the bar finishing before your event ends, we recommend selecting a larger drinks package or extending the service duration when booking to ensure the bar remains operational for the length of your celebration.
No. Complimentary soft drinks and mixers are provided in limited quantities and are intended as a convenience for guests rather than an unlimited drinks service. They are included so that guests can enjoy a soft drink without it counting towards the drinks package allocation.
As a guideline, we typically allocate approximately £25 worth of soft drinks and mixers at wholesale cost, although this may vary depending on the package and event requirements. Complimentary soft drinks are generally served from larger bottles and dispensers rather than individual cans.
If you plan to provide your own spirits for guests to consume with our complimentary mixers, please discuss this with our team before booking, as additional mixers, ice, glassware, or stock may be required and additional charges may apply.
As standard, our bartenders serve drinks directly from the bar mobile setup. This keeps the energy high and ensures every cocktail is served fresh and perfectly presented.
If you require table or floor service for your event, we can certainly arrange this, but it must be agreed upon in advance. Depending on the size of your event, providing floor service may require us to bring along dedicated waiting staff (subject to availability). Please let our team know your preferences during the booking process so we can staff your event correctly!
In most cases, no. The majority of the cost of our service relates to staffing, stock, logistics, preparation, transport, equipment, and event management rather than the physical bar itself.
Whilst using an existing venue bar or client-provided bar may reduce the amount of equipment we need to bring, it does not significantly reduce the overall cost of delivering the service.
If you already have a bar available at your venue, please let us know before booking and we will be happy to discuss the most suitable setup for your event.
No. The price is based on the total number of drinks included within your package rather than the specific drink types selected.
Whether you choose a mix of cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine, and prosecco, or cocktails and mocktails only, the overall drinks allocation remains the same. The package price therefore remains unchanged.
If you have specific requirements or would like a bespoke package, please contact our team and we will be happy to discuss the available options.
The number of drinks included in your package refers to the total number of drinks available across all selected drink options, not the quantity of each individual drink.
For example, a 200-drink package does not include 200 beers, 200 proseccos, 200 wines, and 200 cocktails. Instead, the 200 drinks are allocated across the chosen menu and may be consumed in any combination of the available drink options.
Stock levels for each drink type are determined based on the selected menu, anticipated demand, and operational requirements. The quantity of each individual drink supplied may vary and will not necessarily be distributed equally across all drink categories.
Bookings Procedures
Our team typically arrives between 1 and 3 hours before your event starts, depending on the size and complexity of your booking.
This allows us enough time to unload, set up the bar or equipment, prepare stock, and ensure everything is ready to go before your guests arrive. For larger events or more complex setups, additional setup time may be required.
Rest assured, we always plan our arrival to ensure your service is fully prepared and ready on time.
In most cases, no. Our bars, coffee carts, catering equipment, stock, and refrigeration units are heavy and require step-free access or a suitable lift to be transported safely.
Before booking, please ensure that access to the venue is suitable and, where applicable, provide lift dimensions so our team can confirm that the equipment will fit.
If stairs are the only means of access, additional labour may be required to safely transport equipment up and down the stairs. This must be discussed and agreed before booking, and additional charges will apply.
Our priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our team, whilst allowing them to focus on delivering exceptional drinks, food, and customer service. Requiring staff to manually carry heavy equipment up and down stairs can create unnecessary health and safety risks and may impact the quality of service provided.
No.
Your booking is only secured once the required deposit has been received. Confirming that you would like to proceed, accepting a quote, or requesting an invoice does not reserve your date or secure your booking.
We operate on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. Until a deposit has been paid, the date remains available and may be booked by another client, even if an invoice has already been issued to you.
To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend paying your deposit as soon as possible once you have decided to proceed. We cannot guarantee availability until the deposit has been received and your booking has been formally confirmed by Spin & Shake.
Your personalised shopping list will typically be sent approximately 30 days before your event.
This allows us to finalise the menu, confirm guest numbers, and ensure the quantities recommended are as accurate as possible. If any details of your booking change before then, please let our team know so we can update the shopping list accordingly.
If your event is taking place within the next 30 days and you have not yet received your shopping list, please contact our team and we will be happy to assist.
Catering
A table is not included as standard. However, we may be able to provide one upon request, subject to availability and any additional delivery or hire charges.
If you require a table for your grazing display, please let our team know before booking so we can discuss the available options and confirm what is possible for your event.
We cook our pizzas using a professional electric stone-baked oven. Because it is 100% electric and produces no smoke or open flames, it is completely safe for indoor use at any venue.
Don’t worry about missing out on flavor, either—the high-heat stone deck mimics a traditional wood-fired oven, giving you that perfect, crispy crust and beautifully melted toppings in just a couple of minutes!
